Water From Your Eyes build a collaborative pop project out of jokes, distance, and puzzles
Water From Your Eyes began in 2016 as a long-distance project between Nate Amos and Rachel Brown, and the duo later moved into the same city and took the music more seriously. Sources describe the pair as a Brooklyn/New York act that keeps humor close to the center while also chasing pop melody and uneasy feeling. Their songs are built through a shared process in which Amos and Brown shape ideas together, then separate roles help finish the writing. Across their releases, the project has been presented as something they take care of together: a collaborative entity with a deliberately odd identity and a taste for mirrored structures, playful misdirection, and pop songs that do not stay simple for long.
