The Mediocre Friends turn a longtime friendship into a four-song EP
The Mediocre Friends are a New Jersey-based quartet with a pop-rock profile and a 2024 EP titled So, this is it?. The release grew out of a plan for each member to write a song and then record them together, and the Bandcamp page frames the project as the result of four lifelong friends getting into the room. The same page lists the four tracks and credits the band members by name, including Bill Cederroth, Chris Dickscheid, Mike Eckhart, and Gay Elvis. An interview adds that the group reunited 30 years after high school and that each member contributed a song to the EP. Their public writeup also notes that they rehearsed in 2023 and recorded in early 2024.
