Swapmeet’s debut album grew out of a long-running four-way conversation
Swapmeet are an Australian alternative band from Adelaide, and Mount Zero is presented as their debut album. The release frame describes the record as built from shared writing, shared production, and songs shaped by first heartbreaks, first embarrassments, and first disasters. In interview, the band says they met in high school, started out for fun, and still treat the project as something experimental. The album was recorded over two weeks in a beach house in Port Noarlunga, and the Bandcamp page credits written, recorded, produced, and engineered work to the four members. For a starting point, listen to I Know! and Halfway from the album.
