Superorganism’s internet-built pop world, drawn from a house in East London
Superorganism is an eight-person pop collective that formed through internet music forums and mutual friends online, then centered its work in a shared house and DIY studio in East London. The group’s early attention came from “Something for Your M.I.N.D.,” a song assembled across rooms and locations, with Orono recording vocals from Maine. The sources describe their method as a low-budget, DIY version of mainstream pop production, with members writing, producing, filming, and shaping the project together. Their debut album arrived on Domino on March 2, 2018, and the band’s catalog includes songs that helped define their early run, alongside later releases that extend the project’s world.
