Stella Donnelly’s songs trace personal change, sharp observation, and a growing sense of place
Stella Donnelly is an Australian artist working in pop and alternative music whose releases move between direct social observation and intimate personal detail. Her debut EP Thrush Metal began as a five-track set of demos, and later work like Flood and Love and Fortune shows her revisiting change, grief, and self-recovery. Sources describe Flood as a record of rediscovery and note that Donnelly used birdwatching, piano, and time in Bellingen and Perth as part of that process. Across the catalog, she has also released songs such as Boys Will Be Boys and Standing Ovation.
