Sharp Pins: Chicago pop with a DIY trail
Sharp Pins is a Chicago project associated with Kai Slater and documented across Bandcamp and KALX as part of a busy DIY circle. The available pages place the artist in Chicago, Illinois and connect the work to Hallogallo, a handmade zine Slater also created. Bandcamp credits identify written and recorded releases including Radio DDR and Balloon Balloon Balloon, with Radio DDR released in March 2025 and Balloon Balloon Balloon released in November 2025. The releases and track lists show a steady, catalog-driven project worth starting with two of its best-documented songs.
