Sam Akpro builds a restless sound from south-east London roots
Sam Akpro is a singer, songwriter, and producer from south-east London whose debut album Evenfall arrived in March 2025. In interview, he says the album drew on a broad listening diet that included post-punk, Massive Attack, and hip-hop, and he links the music to late-night writing and a focus on leaving space in the songs.
