Roman Joon: the story and songs to start with

Meet Roman Joon.

Roman Joon is the solo project of Brighton-based songwriter and producer Michael Baker. The project’s documented releases begin with Call It What You Want in 2024 and continue into a 10-song album, Mighty Fine, released in 2025. Bandcamp describes the album as blending lo-fi electronic textures with indie-psychedelia, soulful grooves, and intimate songwriting. Atwood Magazine presents Roman Joon as a fresh start for Baker and treats Call It What You Want as the debut single. If you want a simple entry point, start with the title track, then move to one of the singles to follow the project across its early release sequence.
