Nick Rousseau

Meet Nick Rousseau.

Nick Rousseau is a Brooklyn, New York guitarist and composer working in jazz. His Bandcamp page says he aims to bring thought provoking and emotionally compelling music to listeners, and a Jazz Journal review describes This Entity Makes Music as a 45-minute album with ensemble interplay at its center. The same review notes his studies in jazz performance and highlights the way guitar lines support the group rather than dominate it. A good place to start is with tracks that show both sides of that range: one drawn from the album reviewed in Jazz Journal and one from a later catalog entry.
