Mike Daly & The Planets: New Jersey power pop with a long road to release

Mike Daly & The Planets is a New Jersey band led by Mike Daly, built around vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and lead guitar. The project began in 2010, and its debut 4-song EP, The Cosmic Adventures of ManBoy, came out internationally that August. The band later issued its self-titled debut album in 2017 and followed with All It Takes Is One in 2018. Sources describe the group as a loud pop band and a power-pop act, with songs rooted in relationships, everyday pressure, and humor. The band has also played live in New Jersey and beyond, including an opening slot for The Smithereens and appearances at the International Pop Overthrow Festival in New York.
