Korine’s Philadelphia synth-pop path, from Corsage to Tear
Korine is a Philadelphia-based electronic-pop duo built around Morgy Ramone and Trey Frye. The Bandcamp and interview material trace a steady arc: a self-released EP in 2017, a debut full-length in 2018, and later releases that kept widening the project’s sound while staying rooted in pop. The duo describes its process as DIY and collaborative, shaped by influences that include electronic music, punk, pop, and emo. Their 2023 album Tear was presented as an expansion of that core, and their earlier work included songs that carried forward from Corsage onto New Arrangements. This entry points to that catalog through two documented tracks from different releases.
