Emily Hines: the story and songs to start with

Emily Hines arrives with a debut shaped by farm life, cassette recording, and Nashville community

Emily Hines is a Nashville-based songwriter whose debut album These Days came together through farming, community, and a deliberately simple recording setup. These Days was released through Keeled Scales and presented as her first album for the label. The album’s release context also points to a collaborative process, with live takes, layered parts, and contributions from several musicians. Two tracks from the album to start with are “My Own Way” and “These Days.”
