Chris Pellnat’s Hudson Valley songwriting moves between folk, rock, and collaboration
Chris Pellnat is a singer-songwriter from just outside Hudson, New York, and his work is rooted in the Hudson Valley music scene. In conversation, he says he has played in numerous bands and is currently the electric guitar player in The Warp/The Weft. His 2024 album Cairn is presented by Resonating Wood Recordings, which describes him as using “dulcimer, vibraphone and retro synth” to build songs. The same release says his writing can be “off-kilter” and still centered on strong melody. For a recent listen, start with Soft Landing and Banished, both credited to Pellnat on his 2026 EP Reign Down.
