Bawo: the story and songs to start with

Meet Bawo.

Bawo is a West London artist working in hip hop, and the supplied interviews frame his music as shaped by London, Nigeria, and a long habit of writing and recording. He says he was born and raised in London, while visiting Nigeria every year as a child, and that those trips helped shape his sense of rhythm and identity. The sources also describe his move from SoundCloud releases to larger platforms, his focus on making songs with real stories, and his own label, Say Nothing Records.
